I am Takunda Muzondo. I am based in Harare, Zimbabwe, and I help African B2B tech and EdTech companies find, frame, and win the right clients and partnerships.
My background is deliberately broad: eight years working inside schools, recording studios, professional services firms, and creative agencies across Africa. That breadth is not a weakness. It is the reason I can sit with an accountant on accountant terms, translate what they said to a developer building the solution, and then explain the business case to a CEO in terms of profit, potential, and loss.
Most BD people come from sales. Most marketers stay in marketing. I have always lived at the boundary between the two — which means I do not just generate leads or design campaigns. I understand how businesses actually make money, what slows them down, and how to position them to win in the market they are in.
I started doing design and website work in 2014, not because design was my passion but because it was the fastest way to get close to businesses and understand how they operate. Over time, that evolved into brand strategy, then marketing operations, then business development, then systems design. Every step was less about picking up a new skill and more about getting closer to the actual problem.
I believe in building things that last. I am not a consultant who drops a report and leaves. When I commit to a partnership or a BD strategy, I stay involved through implementation — because a closed deal that falls apart in delivery is not a success.

I have worked in education, media, professional services, and creative industries. That range means I understand how different buyers think and how to position the same solution differently depending on who is in the room.

I care about implementation, not just strategy. I have built departments from scratch, configured ERP systems, launched enrolment campaigns, and managed studio operations. I know how hard it is to actually execute — and that shapes how I approach every engagement.

I have spent my entire career in African markets. I understand the constraints, the trust dynamics, the communication preferences, and the procurement realities that global playbooks ignore.
