How it works
The tool finds the photos and scanned pages inside your PDF, squeezes them to a lower quality and resolution, then rebuilds the file. All of that happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so nobody else sees your document.
It works best on scanned documents and photo-heavy PDFs, where big embedded images are usually why the file is huge. A PDF that is mostly text and vector graphics is typically small already and will not shrink much more.
